Scope: The West Overton Museums Archives, formerly known as the Westmoreland-Fayette Historical Society, contains significant primary and secondary historical information regarding the village of West Overton and the surrounding communities of Mount Pleasant, Alverton and Scottdale, its attendant industries during its active period (1810-1919), including whiskey distilling, mining and coal and coke, and of the Mennonite community that was located in this area. The archives also contain some limited genealogical information regarding the families that lived and worked in this area

• $30 for the first hour, and $25 per hour for subsequent hours of research. Members at Bronze level and above receive one complimentary hour of archival research, and $25 for each subsequent hour.
• This fee is charged for each request, which includes an individual, a surname, or specific topic. Separate names must be submitted in separate research requests and are charged as such.
• For each request, a total of 10 photocopies are included in the fees. After 10 copies a $0.25 charge per page will be used ($0.20 for members).
