Our annual Spring Makers Market returns in 2025! This family-friendly local vendors market features items made, baked, or grown by artisans, craftspeople, makers, and the like from around our community.
Shop local vendors for items such as jewelry and accessories, ceramics, woodworking, textile arts, glass and resin arts, candles, and home decor. Baked goods, craft beverages, and homemade pet treats will also be for sale. Shop flowers at our plant sale in support of West Overton's historic gardens.
Grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks and enjoy live music by Jay Constable at the Overholt Room, the lower level of the Museum.
West Overton Distilling will be selling cocktails and bottles of rye whiskey outside of the Overholt Room (the Distillery building will be closed).
At the Museum, visit our award-winning exhibition, Forging Ahead and Falling Behind: Industrial Growth in a Rural Community. Please note that the Whiskey Heritage Center in our Museum will not be open on this day.
New for 2025 - Autumn Ridge Farm will have a petting zoo on site for all to enjoy! From 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., meet baby animals like goats and lambs, bunnies, mini pigs, and a pony. Pony rides will be $5 / person.
Enter for a chance to win a rental of the Overholt Room. Tickets are $10 per entry.
Spring Makers Market will be held rain or shine. Frick Avenue will be closed for vendor displays.
Admission to Spring Makers Market is free for all guests. Our neighbor, Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association, has generously partnered with us to host and manage guest parking at their property. All guests of Makers Market should park at Fort Allen, located at 911 Porter Avenue, Scottdale, PA, 15683. Attendees can ride a shuttle or walk to the market.
We are suggesting a donation of $5 per car, which supports Fort Allen’s nonprofit mission of restoring, preserving, and educating about antique farm equipment.
Handicap parking available in front of the white picket fence of the Overholt Homestead. Additionally, the parking lot by the Distillery and Big Barn will be open for people with disabilities and families with strollers.
